It is almost always faster to reduce distance in autocross. The corners are too close together to run an optimal arc through each individual corner, you have to compromise

Yes, completely true. Corners are a lot closer together, no real point to track out as the next corner is so close that you will have no real speed advantage and are traveling farther so longer lap times. Most of the time you let it track out to set it up for the next series of corners, otherwise you stay tight to the apexes.

A lot of people say track/autocross are similar. They are actually very different driving disciplines and require some different driving styles. Track, you tend to be smoother and have lots of time to learn and memorize the course. Autocross, you have to react very fast, steer/countersteer a lot and you learn the course in 1 lap because it's a new course every time.

I finally ordered my PSS!

Screw winter, I'm putting my summers back on today after work.

Went with stock sizes btw.

I got my PSS tires put on the car - What a difference from the contis. My contis vibrated and were noisy. These are smooth as silk.

The PSS shoulder is much more square then the contis. The PSS look wider at the same stock size (the PSS don't look so stretched)

try an ad08 or slick and see how square they are. looks awesome and hard to get used to the rounded edges. my understanding is this partially determines how aggressive and progressive a tire is. rounded shoulder gives more gentle ramping up and breakaway charecter.

What combination of PSS tires + spacers would give a flush look on stock edc suspension with zcp rims? 255/275+spacers or 275/295?

I have the 255/275 setup on zcp wheels and it is a drastic improvement over the conti 3's, those were terrible.

Yea I had ps2s, and id say they have a longer life. I say this because I used to burnout and do donuts and be a "cock" as Jeremy Clarkson would say, and I got about 10k out of them as well. BUT I haven't had a rear wheel alignment and that could make or,break me. I think I'm one of the only people with a negative review on the ss so don't take my word for it. Unless your car is your daily like me. Im gonna try some nittos I hear they last longer.

Just got zcps. They were take offs from a limerock m3 at prestige in jersey. I'll post some pics tomorrow

pss is very good on daily use first.
I think the car has a little front slide with the 245s so the increase of 1cm in size is great as well.
Its durable and the best I've tried on road

Going to 255 and 275 rather than stock, atleast on the non-zcp 19 inch oem wheels simply adds weight and takes away from steering sharpness. The zcp wheels are wider and probably the right size for those.

No benefit on the oem 19's to go up a size

I ended up going 255/35 and 275/35. I have zcp wheels. I tried it hoping it would look better

How can there be no benefit? More contact to put the power down at the rears, and more surface grabbing the road in the corners...

If I'm wrong, please educate me. The 220M widths are within recommended spec for the PSS at 255 and 275 widths.

I need some new tires for the front, would it be ok to run pss up front and conti in the rear? Rears are somewhat new and will switch to pss in the rear when ready.

I would check with the tirerack, but generally it is not advised to mix.
