Tread limit on BMW tire warranty?

Hey guys,

So I have 11k on my PS2's They are in need of replacement, but I could get another 1000 miles out of them. Today I got a low tire pressure on one of the rears. I didnt want to replace them just yet.

Do you think its even worth a claim, if the tire does have a screw or a hole? Or will they just say, your below the covered tread depth?

Will have to go pull the paperwork out of my glove box. The BMW warranty does have a specific tread depth remaining limit but I can't recall what it is. Worth a shot...

"If the tire is non-repairable and has at least 3/32nds of an inch tread depth remaining, it is eligible for replacement with a comparable new tire, including mounting, balancing, valve stems, and taxes."

this is my tire and rim warranty coverage:

Alright, so in the center of the tire is 4/32, but the inside is like 1/32 and the outside is like 5/32.

I still have to go fill and see if it looses air again.

Have not used the BMW warranty but the third-party one we had on my wife's X5 (sold thru the dealership!) replaced the damaged tire with another OEM tire. And only the damaged tire gets replaced. Given the OP's situation, I would think he would replace all four.

yeah you need 3/32

When I lemoned my 335i, one of my tires had a tear in it that wouldn't pass inspection

My amazing SA told me to get a small nail and make it look like it was inside.
so i did it
he took a picture, sent it to the tire warranty company, i went to work

get a call back that we're good to go

if you get a tire, and have over 3/32 they should replace it

so, as my SA told me: put a nail in it before 3/32 lol...

he gets paid for his RO and you get a tire
