Pulley/Filter/VSM Front/Rear Cameras/M25 Laser Jammer

Dropped my car off Friday morning at EAS and picked up later in the evening with some nicely added mods :P
The car was there pretty much the whole day.
Ate some Thai food, watched a movie, hung out at Starbucks with the girl, then at the shop.... good day.

I have to send a big thank you to everyone at EAS for all their help and effort.

I know the verts aren't fun to work on... and it took longer than expected; but I'm grateful you guys didn't half-ass it and finished the work properly.

Here are a few snap shots I took while they were doing their thing...

Not great, just a few iPhone pics

(Yes the mineral white is paint matched to my car, but hard to tell in the picture; when they repainted my front bumper [accident: hit n run!], I had them paint it)

And I just felt like taking a random undershot of the car

I got to see parts and sides of my car I never saw before

Alpine HIDs (hopefully!) being installed tomorrow

It was realllly foggy on the drive back so I can't comment on the pulley/filter using my butt dyno

I was on comfort mode the whole way cruising at 60-70mph

Many say you don't need a rear camera... and that you def don't need a front one.
But... I've grown to like having the rear camera; it really makes pulling out of tight places a breeze; along with seeing behind you clearly in an unlit area, especially when you have tint.
The front camera (infrared!) can help clearing crazy driveways etc
I remember a couple of times when I wanted one in my 335i.

VSM module works great.

I had the Alekshop set in my 335i which is now in the Z4.

Both work as designed.

How do you like the Alekshop rear and front cameras? I'm thinking about putting it in my M. Do you mind me asking how much they charged you to install just the cameras? Also can you post some pics of the cam? Thanks bro, any help would be appreciated.

Dude, that plenum looks like you stole the toilet seat from a Moroccan lounge.

It has to go.

Never heard of that lounge lol

In person it's very sick

And different than others (I was going to go Gloss Black + painted like IND but I don't like copying others, like to do something different; this forum is full of people who have identical mods... Which look very very sick... But not individual, which is my main reason for modding)

Like my 335... People criticized it online a lot but in person she made mr very happy with countless compliments :P

Congrats on the finished package and your patience while everything was being installed. The Mineral White color just has to be seen in person to appreciate, Five other M3 owners dropped by just on Friday and recognized it right away.

While there was a lot of work involved, the end result was worth it.

I wonder if those extra braces would be worth getting on a coupe to stiffen things up a bit? Like and X-brace on the E36 series tightend the car up.

Goal is to make them undetectable

as they are illegal in CA...

But they're pretty obvious in the picture as they weren't secured down yet

dont know how much protection you'll get with the jammers in their current location, but it can't be worse than having nothing.

Where would you suggest putting them?

It's in the same place I had in the 335i and it saved me several several times; especially on the street near my house where there's always 2 bike cops

Technically the best place for them on the M3 is at the top of the lower portion of the bumper. But if that location has worked for you in the past then stick with it. It's much more attractive.

EDIT:
Also check out a product called VEIL. It's a liquid coating that goes on your headlights that reduces the effectiveness of jammers. Most of the time a cop will aim their laser at your headlights or tail lights.

Those jammers are not going to jam anything with them behind the grill or the bumper. They need to be unobstructed. Good Luck

They've worked before

Several several times.

Plus, adding the veil, V1, no plates, and the possibility of putting a brake light kill in, it's all much better than nothing.

And no, you can't give me the "Don't speed you won't get a ticket" argument..as people did before with my 335...

But I know it won't be as good as having them out

I have seen plenty of cars with VEIL and it makes the headlights look HORRIBLE.

Makes them look old and hazed over, not worth it at all.

yeah?

I haven't bought it yet; just read about it above and was going to order it soon

Good to know.
Worse comes to worse you get a nice detail and it'll come off with it

Nonetheless, the fact that I have no plates has always helped me in the past.
