hell no. there are rich places in thailand of course and my standard of living would be of a millionair here in the states haha. ill be in bangkok and not far from that is sukemvitt and siam where the rich areas are. foreigners everday there and the malls there are all lv, prada, gucci, etc.

Thailand is actually a pretty nice place... as long as they dont have the civil war going on which happens nearly every year for a month or two. Both Hong Kong and Thailand have their slums and ghettos, just the ones in Thailand are more visually available through the media. Plus Living in Hong Kong would cost more than living in the US (other than New York) let alone Thailand.
