The better question is why is everyone so retarded to keep saying that this is $550 new? This costs $565, plus $40 shipping, plus 6.5% tax if you are a MD resident. And that is without the trim, which is another $70. So this wheel is much closer to $700 with trim, shipping, and handling, etc....
