It will stay like that for about five seconds!

Looks great. Jerez is one of the nicest colors clean.

I've given up on mine. I'll spend a fortune on a detail and then one car wash later scratches are back and doesn't look legitimately clean after a couple drives.

Really like out the outside of the pic is blurred.

Thanks Mike, and i'll second about the detail. I paid $1500 back in December, and I use an almost completely touch free detail
(PA Foam Lance, dried with Metro Vac only microfibred with waterless when stubborn spots remain) and I still have some swirls coming out.

Yeah that was taken with a cheapo lens at F4 but i'll have capture some with my 50 1.2 that have a bit more blurry goodness.

Dark cars are a lifestyle choice. But the elbow grease is totally worth it. Your post reminds me that I need to start upping my detailing supply stockpile.

Pretty sure there's no more clear coat left on my E46 330Ci in orient blue from the constant wash, polish and wax, and suspect I'll be headed that way on my jerez black E92 M3 when I'm reunited with it after PCD.

This is why mine stays in the garage.

Nice pic and your car looks great! I'm a big fan of jerez and carbon black. I spent 10+ hours buffing/polishing my wife's black car. It looked great until the first rainfall left water spots in the paint.... I don't think I could handle another black car

Jerez sure is beautiful. But what you guys are saying make me love space gray even more. Even when it's dirty it still looks clean lol.

I have a Jerez E90 and the wifes car is sapphire black. I am SO done with black cars... BUT, they look great after the wash. Totally worth it... lol!

OP, great photo!

I'm way too lazy to own a black car. Sure I love it when my car looks clean, but I'd go bananas if I just spent 10 hours detailing my car, and after 1 day, it's dirty again. My car is far from perfect right now, plenty of scratches that I need to buff out but at least it's not painfully obvious.

Beautiful picture though OP!
