Warranty / Maintenance / Extended Warranty Question

Hello, sorry I didnt know what to search on the forums for this specific question...

Right now I have an 08 M3 with 8k miles. warranty started in 9/08 or expires 09/12

my question is will I need brakes and rotors by say 20k miles? And also if i buy the extended warranty does it extend my maintenance plan for the brakes and rotors or does it just cover non-wear and tear items?

i'm thinking i would have to buy the extended warranty / maintenance which is probably like 8k+

how much is the replacement or brakes and rotors anyways?

Extended warranty and extended maintenance are sold separately. And you can buy them right before warranty expires, so no need to think about that right now.
You'll have to search for the brake issue man. Remember reading they wouldn't be covered by the extended warranty, but they should under extended maintenance. If you're even the slightest mechanically inclined, you can do that yourself (search for DIY), and would cost you a ton less than the extended maintenance. It'd be absolutely crazy to buy an extended maintenance plan with the mileage you put on your car. And the extended warranty would probably be a bad investment as well... unless you're having problems with your car already, and fear having substantial issues. You're always better off having those funds aside and pay for repairs, but there're always arguments on both sides. Read, search, and make up your mind

I'm kinda in the same boat and would like to know how much the extended maintenance is to buy. I also just purchased a 08 with 26,4xx miles(picking her up this week) and the warranty is good until 12/12. But not sure if car would have any maintenance left.
