Because of gamefly I play on my ps3 a lot now, but when I have to fulfill my mouse fps desire I hop on my pc and play day of defeat source. Avalanche map 24/7. Never gets old.

Just got a steam account since I bought a new rig yesterday. I only have Just cause 2 right now but I am looking to see what MP games to buy for it. I may get crysis and battlefield 2. Not sure what other games to get for it right now. It is a pretty solid system that can handle serious Graphics demands.

Not sure how easy it would be to get into BF2 at this stage (only vets really left playing) but that's been my favorite MP experience on any platform, any game. Give it some time, took me up to a week to get back into playing well after breaks.

God I still love it. BF3 in November. Can't wait.

Battlefield:Bad Company 2 is my game right now. A ton of fun once they fixed all the launch bugs. Can't wait for BF3!!!

Ya I played a lot of BFBC2 on xbox. Are you using mouse/keyboard, or xbox controller? I am still not used to the mouse gaming at all. I got a Logitech G9x mouse and it goes from super lag sensitivity to super hyper. May take it back and get a G500.

BF2 was PC-only, BFMC2 targeted consoles and is very different. Good to know BF3 may be one of the only games still developed with PC in mind.

Is BF2 a better game than BFBC2?

I was going to download crysis warhead but I am not sure it will be worth it since I didnt like crysis 2 which is supposed to be a better game.

BF2 was good when it came out, then the guns were turned into pea-shooting nerf guns...Not to mention the terrible network code that DICE used for that game which results in terrible hit detection. Honestly I wouldn't waste your money on it (this is coming from someone who put many hours into that game).

I'd get BC2 instead. The guns actually kill and it is a great game that will tide you over until BF3.

I like BFBC2 more than BF2 because it is easier to actually hit people and the graphics are much better. I remember BF2 days when I'd get so aggravated when I was prone and burst firing but would only hit targets 10% of the time. Could be due to my lack of accuracy but I doubt that is the only reason.

If you can torrent warhead then I would recommend you play it, it is better than the original crysis (slightly)

I agree. BF2 is outdated and a combination of the updates and skill level of players left won't give you a good time.

As to the frustration ^^, I completely agree. At times it's completely ridiculous, largely depends on the server as well; smooth games are hard to come by. Though if you stick through it for a while, it tends to get better as you get used to the bullet physics.

I hope we can transfer our users to BF3, I remember getting a ton of badges/ribbons, seeing stats at bf2s.com lol

I was playing Far Cry 2 until the stupid game froze and prevented me from accomplishing any more tasks. I previously played Monday Night Combat but only for a few days; I never got the hang of it. Before that was BC2... not as many hours as BF2 but I still had the same drive and addiction to win every damn game.

I preordered BF3 and hope it's the same as BF2 w/o all the bs everybody-has-the-same-weapon crap.

Agree with you, I played G36 + L96A 90% of the time.

Far Cry 2 was SO FRUSTRATING due to spending the whole game driving around. And the physics isn't great. I still beat that game, I love the Far Cry series overall.

BF3 is aimed at PC audience and hopefully follows in BF2s footsteps, looks very promising. Check out footage at EA.com.

I almost bought Far Cry 2 and now I wont. I have been liking Just Cause 2 a lot. I really like Totally open world games that let you go anywhere with the grappling hook, and the ability to fly aircraft. It is fun taking a chopper high as you can then bailing out for a little sky diving fun. It is very much like GTA SA in this regard I know, but it is still pretty fun. I have the Graphics cranked all the way up and so far my PC is not missing a beat.

With the Liquid cooling and the case I have I am not even seeing temps get very high at all.

I was planning on flashing my 6950 to a 6970, but there are those that say do it and those that say dont unless you know how to do it right. The 6970 still has some differences that I guess cause some issue when using the bios from them on the 6950. You can get artifacts on the image that may or may not go away after reseting the card.

In (and probably always will be) my top 5.

Got all achievements (game + expansions). Think I covered just about everything there was to the game. Only thing I didn't like was the bullet physics (i.e. probability-based as opposed to skill) fyi, if you play on xbox, you can install the bonus content to your HD and never need that CD again...everything loads from the original disc

That being said, haven't picked up vegas yet...was it as good?
