BMW Netherlands Provides Exclusive M3 GTS Look

The folks at Autogespot were lucky enough to have some exclusive time recently with the M3 GTS at BMW facilities in the Netherlands and they have shared these great photos of the highest performing factory M3 currently.

The road legal M3 GTS features a larger and more powerful 4.36L V8 with 331 kW/450 bhp engine, mated to a 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic and modified suspension technology. These figures launch the M3 GTS from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds. Part of this is due to the improved power-to-weight ratio of 3.4 kg per hp. Aerodynamic/safety improvements include large rear spoiler deck, carbon fiber splitter, roll cage, matte black exterior styling components such as the BMW kidney grille, roof trims as well as the side gill elements made of dark anodised chrome.

This particular M3 GTS did not ship with its standard M light alloy gloss black wheels, but with winter wheels instead, so standard M3 competition wheels were fitted for this showing.

An alpine white 1M coupe was also on hand but the group did not not photos. The impression they took away however was that it was "WIDE"! In addition to the M3 GTS and 1M coupe, an M3 and Z4 racing series cars were on display.

You can review official M3 GTS Info and Media at http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=318714

The whole car, esp the rear diffuser reminds me of the batmobile.

Check out the carbon bodywork on the Z4 - gorgeous!!!!

Think the GTS needs a wider track at the rear - looks a touch apologetic at the rear.

Cant believe the finish on the GTs rear spoiler is a basic rattle can type paint so when the bolts are removed to alter the spoilers angle it leaves exposed metal - not good on a £100K plus car!!

That's a weight saving feature...car loses its paint mid-race and goes faster

I've always preferred the GTS with the silver 359Ms instead of the black finish.

Interesting to see the BMW Performance CF spoiler painted in white on that GT3.
