....Waiting for the M3....

So I ordered a 2011 M3 in Mineral White a few weeks ago.
I cant wait for it to arrive. I have been doing alot of browsing and research
on the forum and have been planning out how I want this project to come out.
Nate at IND has been incredible with helping me so far answering all my questions
and sending very well packaged products. I didnt want to post a thread until the
car arrived because yes I know "this thread is useless without pics" LOL but im very excited.

So far these are the mods I have already for the M.

Front Grills
Side Grills
Color Matched Markers
Rear Badge
Bilstein PSS10
20" Custom Wheels (you will see when I get them )
PS2's

Soon to come:

Akrapovic Exhaust
Front Lip
Rear Diffuser

I'm excited for you. But I must say, I've always been fascinated by people who so quickly want to mod out their new M3 before they've even peeled off the options sticker.

Out of curiosity, did you order your M3 with ZCP?

I didnt order it with ZCP. I got all options besides EDC and 19" wheels.
I knew that I would drop the car on coils and would put on custom wheels
so I will use the 18" stock wheels for winter. I understand compleltely were you
are comming from but I have done my research and have driven a few M's modded
and stock so I had a good idea what I was going to do before I even ordered the car.

Well, you did it the right way. No point paying a premium for ZCP or EDC if you're changing the wheels and suspension.

Would you please post a picture of the 20's you're going to put on her? I'm really curious.

congrads man ! welcome
the process of waiting for your m3 is absolutely the WORST, i just got my 2011 m3 and it took like 3 months to be built and arrive here from germany...checking the status of the car daily on the bmw website lol?
your mod list sounds sweet..and yea, lets see those wheels! i didnt get the 19's either..i dont love them..i like the 18's more..but be aware they dont come in that gunmetal charcoal gray color on the 2011's...i wasnt aware, but they are still great looking wheels !

Yes! Break-in period is far worse than the order wait.

I havent placed my order yet. I will be going with the slip on system.

I have heard the full EVO in person, it sounds amazing its a bit loud for
my personal taste. From what I have read and the clips I have seen on
youtube the slip on is exactly what im looking for. Worst case scenario I
can upgrade to the full kit a later date if need be.

The wait is killer... Saw mine in Germany on 12/20... Not so patiently waiting for it to arrive. What color interior did you go with? Your mods sound nice, good luck with the car!

I have done the same thing. I have an E90 M3 on order and I have already ordered some mods. First was the winter wheel and tire package since I will be driving it through the remainder of the winter.

I have spoken with Nate at IND as well and have ordered some mods from them. I am also considering the Akrapovic slip-on after reviewing with Nate since the full system may not pass the State Vehicle Inspection. (By the way, Nate and the guys at IND have been great in providing me with the information I need, very quick shipment as well.)

I browse these forums and all I want to do is buy more mods lol.

What do you guys think about clear bra?
worth doing entire hood, front bumper, fenders etc?
Im buying the car not leasing and I hate stone chips
but if you can see the clear bra im not interested.

I have had clear bra on my last four BMWs (cars and SAVs) and they all were great. I used the VentureShield product and had no issues. Finding a good installer is another story!

I think those clear protectors are obvious.
Look, it's a car. There's going to be some wear and tear.
Wax her. Garage her. Take great care of her.
But putting on those clear seals is tantamount to grandma's plastic sofa covers.

I see this phenomenon all the time when I travel to Asia.
A guy busts his nut to save up for a car. Finally buys it. And then
covers every nook and cranny with ridiculous after market seat covers, doilies,
window screens, good luck charms, air fresheners and yes clear seals
all in the name of preservation. In the end it ruins the look and integrity of the design.

but was thinking id give it a try depending on how it looks.
I agree with you on it being a car and one should just enjoy it.
