I literally JUST bought this over the weekend

Package hasn't even arrived yet!

But I'm considering just doing a full tune+exhaust+pulley+filter... which will cost a LOT more than just a Spring booster, but with the tune, it'll basically include all that stuff..

So I'm putting the Spring Booster up for sale

I just got around to installing the Sprint Booster today. Well it does not work, the car tried to start and then threw all kinds of messages like trans malfunction take vechicle to dealer etc. etc. went into limp mode. It was installed correctly-no big deal in that. It sputtered and just choked. I know you said you didn't try it in your car, who did you buy it from, someone on this forum?

Anyway it doesn't work, so where do we go from here?

I don't see the point ... but w/e I guess I'll do the same? Not much of a big deal

if you do searching on the SB (both on m3post and e90post) you will see that the problems you're experiencing are due to a bad install

You may think you did a correct install, but everyone always thinks they did a good install

Nonetheless, you can contact Mr. Bimmer and ask him; he offered to install it on my car as he had done it on his own without problems (but he was too much of a drive for me)

The only advice I can give you is to take it off, clear the codes, and have a professional do the install.
One main reason I have decided to eventually go with a tune etc (well among exhaust..) is because I didn't want to spend the money on paying a technician; I don't trust myself with these type of things.

I will try and guide you, but I it was indeed disclosed that I bought the SB on impulse, realized it wasn't for me, and put it up FS.
