Who came to Skate Galaxy last night? I saw a black E92 M3, but you left. Too bad because I wanted to talk to you.

I made a pass through cause i was bringing a coworker home after work......didn't stick around.....too tired after an 11 hour shift. Not to mention the cops were all over that 350Z right next to where i parked, so i didn't mind getting out of there.

Yeah, that guy was an idiot. What kind of exhaust did you have? And is your car 6MT or DCT?

I have the Gintani rear section. I also have the Challenge mid-pipe but haven't had it installed yet. It's 6MT. I enjoy the manual, but may consider DCT on the next M3 .

I went with the Street version cause i don't feel like dealing with CELs or messing with the ECU. I haven't had it installed yet.....not sure where to bring it cause you have to cut the stock exhaust right after the primary cats to install it. Although, i'm considering the new remote tune from Evolve.....you can finally do it at home on your laptop.......not a HUGE gain but may do it.

Tim,

I will be getting a tune.. I really like the evolve but I am gonna wait for some reviews before I pull the trigger.. My choices are between evolve and ESS.

The only huge gains for a m3 seem to be the supercharger route.. but I am not pleased with peoples 1/4 times with the ESS kits.. something does not seem to add up.

Well, i'd certainly do an ESS tune if they were nearby, but i'm not gonna send out my ECU. The evolve unit is the first(that i know of) that you can do yourself, at home. That's what i've been waiting for, but yes, i'm curious to hear more reviews of it b/c i'm not familiar with that company. And yeah, i've considered a SC, but just can't seem to justify spending that much money.

The ESS kits seem to put out good numbers on the dyno.. but it seems people with the VT-535 kits cant even break 12's which is mind boggling...

Even ppl with the higher HP kits are posting high 11 numbers... and imo they should be much much lower.

yeah, good point. But they(ess kits) seem to be reliable. I'm not really that interested in dragging the car anyhow.

Since this thread hasn't been updated in a while I thought I'd check in. Got my alpine white E90 in a couple of days ago.
