rims difficult to remove

I put on some powder coated 359M's last month. I have a DE coming up next week, so I wanted to re-install my original 18" wheels today. I had to fight to get each wheel off. There was a lot of build up between the rims and center hubs. I cleaned it the best I could before putting the 18's on.

Just wondering if I should've done more? low grit sanding? some type of lubricant?

Tips appreciated? thanks.

You need to scrape off all powdercoating from that area. I used a feeler gauge. That area needs to be masked for future owners doing this
