I would go for the GT3. It is a drivers car and is going to reward good driving and punish poor driving. The GTR is going to cover your mistakes and will not allow you to progress as much in skill. GT3 has a nice soul, the gtr is a car that even a grandma can drive fast. I had the honor of driving a 99, yes 99, boxster and the car is just so amazing!!!! I cant even imagine what a gt3 will be like with more power/handling.

i have no emotions for a gtr, just doesnt do anything to me.

The GT3 is a great car and it would be a difficult choice but don't get sucked into the "the GTR drives itself" bull. The Nissan is a fabulous car and the new one looks to be even more amazing.

Tough choice, but I would get the GT3 as a weekend/track toy! You already have a comfortable DD in the m3. If you have the means get the RS

Yeah... it does, but not for $80-90k which is what the OP whats to spend.

It'd be a toss-up between the .2 GTR and .1 GT3, although I'd give the .2 GT3 the nod if the OP wanted to spend the extra dough.

No doubt that the GTR is much faster, but I can say that GT3s are a LOT of fun too.

big gtr fan, but i would say gt3 since you already have a DD. i wouldn't cross shop these two the gtr is really a turbo competitor. you wouldn't crosshop a turbo and gt3 either, right?

or you can sell the m3 and get the gtr that can do both.

The GTR will destroy the GT3 in every sense of the word, but I like the way the Porsche looks, I like the idea of the 6 speed transmission, and the naturally aspirated motor of the GT3.
