2011 Auto start-stop option, change default?

I asked the dealer this and they seemed clueless, has anyone found out how to set the default when you start the car?

No matter what, it's always lit OFF when you start it back up again. It's just as well as I find the whole thing rather off-putting in every respect. Start/Stop belongs on econo-boxes and geriatric cruisers, not on sports cars. Quite silly that the button is lit to indicate that it's off. That's a throw-back to the old stereo hi-fi systems that had more lights on when off than on when on.

I'm also finding that it is temperamental on when it actually activates a shut off. I tried to demo it to a friend and it wouldn't work.

Is there any relationship to settings/modes and whether it will turn off the car at a full brake stop?

Seems to me like if you have a loud exhaust, every time the engine autostarts at a light, etc., people will think you're revving your engine at them. Or that you stalled and are restarting.

Orrr, perhaps this can be a good excuse to get out of an exhibition of speed ticket. Officer, I have this feature where my engine starts automatically and sounds like I'm revving

Not sure about modes/settings but if you read the thread that the post I linked to is from, you'll see a pretty thorough description of what circumstances it works under and what circumstances disable it.
