Cool to watch but I'm not completely impressed yet. When I move from my 330i to the new M3 I expect to be BLOWN AWAY in speed, handling and performance in general. Considering my 330i would outrun that 328i this really isn't the best comparison video. No question that 328i was floored and the M3 was almost completely out of sight but a much better test would have been if that 328i was a 335i. If that were the case and the M3 pulled like that on a 335i I'd dismiss all possibility of getting a Porsche Cayman S as my next car. Because currently, it's between the Cayman S and the new M3.

Yeah, it's going to be hard to hold back on the speeding once I have my M3, too. I just might have to do ED when I order it. It's going to be mighty tough though to wait 2 months, spend a week with it and then have to wait another month to get it back. Don't know that I have that kind of patience. I might just have to do another PCD again.

I'm not knocking the 328 (very nice car), but it's not fast.

I predict that the M3 will walk away from the 335 without any problem whatsoever. (albiet, the 335 is a great car too.)

As far as the Cayman S. I thought that the car was a dud. I'd rather own the 335 than the Cayman S. If you were going to consider that route, buy a 2006 or 2007 997S. If you have patience, you will find a 2006 with very low miles for the mid 70's. Although, not likely quite as fast as the new M3, it will always put a smile on your face and spank any of the aforementioned cars; excluding the M, of course. (Don't get me wrong, I am confident that the 997S ('06/'07) will still run darn close to the M.

I've just seen this, as posted on my forum. Wow, it makes a fantastic noise when it races away from the 328.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. If the M3 was flooring it then
but if it wasnt trying THAT hard then that son of a bitch is one hell of a car.

excactly... I've seen a video of E60 M5 vs E46 M3 and the diffrence was very similar to the video above(328ci vs E92 M3) and they were both flooring hard... I'll post that video I'm talking about in a min or two.

Yeah it will REALLY lack in high speed. 426 hp, could be very close in power to weight ratio as M5, better aerodynamically (both frontal area and Cd) and a likely top speed (unlimited) of at least 180, maybe 190.

I missed that, thought you meant E92 M3 will lack in high speed department. Cheers.
