This is going to be my Last Cars and Coffee pics and event for a entire Whole year and this will include the New Year coming up of 2011

...!!! I have to deploy back to Iraq for another 1 year deployment starting in early 2011

. Well my last 2 1/2 hr drive up North to Plano, Texas did not get off to a good start.

On the way up there during the last 20 minutes of the trip. I was driving behind a SUV in a construction zone and it gave me no indication what type of disaster or should I say big semi truck trailer tire parts laying in the road ahead....!!!

I notice a small flat piece of tire in the road from a Semi trailer I assume with no time to react I ran it over thump. ( now keep in mind I have a Hamann front lip spoiler that sits low) I take a quick glamps in my rear view mirror and see the small piece of rubber cleared the front lip spoiler

.... NOT...!!!

No sooner I put my eyes back on the road ahead of me, I never seen the bigger pieces of rubber

in the road. Then all of a sudden, I heard was a really hard and loud thump WTF... looked in my rearview mirror and all I see is stuff that I know is coming from the front of my car poor Hamann front lip spoiler. I could hear stuff dragging from under my car and hope that nothing happen to my buddy M3 driving behind me

I pulled over off the road and looked at the damage that semi truck trailer tire did to my poor M3

What ever it was that thing was big enough to rip my Hamann Front lip Spoiler smooth off some of the screws were still bolted in the bumper. The Hamann front lip spoiler did not stand a snowballs chance in hell. All the engine access covers under the car was damage gone, in pieces, and dragging. I had to pull off and rip the dragging engine access cover off from under my car. I was so

I am going to have to call my insurance company to get some of the damage fixed. Me and my buddy did the best we could checking under the car for damage and under the hood before we got my car back on the road. He said I was lucky it did not do some serious damage to my car. We arrived at cars and coffee a little late than plan but the rest of the my day turned out good after that. Well I don't think my M3 thinks that but I will get it fixed. I was to upset to take pics of the damage during the day, but I took some pics of the damage when I got back home. I will post the damge pics at the end. Cmk227 (Carlos) had a pretty good turn out of M3post, E90post, MFest, and other post members

some of them join us for lunch at Jasper resturant and Carlos gave me a gift it was a BMW Motor Sport shirt. Everyone wish me good luck on my Deployment back to Iraq for another year

The lower grill was knocked out of place we fixed that. Damage you can't see in the pics is the lower part of the front bumper is really loose on both sides. In the first pic its a little hard to see but the black plastic part of where it sucks in air is cracked

This is just one of the risk you take

when you have a front lip spoiler

its all good I will fix my M3 back again

hey bro, I feel your pain. NO LIE!

I'm on my 2nd hamann lip right now. I hit a dead black dog on a tarmac road on the night of the 4th of july. took the lip damage all the undercarriage covers. spent around $200 buying no under-covers and ofcourse mega $$$ on the new lip. just sit back and look at it and think to yourself "it could be alot worse". your car will be back up before you know it. keep your head up playa LOL and good luck!
