Bimmer vs Beemer

Am I the only one who thinks "Bimmer" isn't right? Wouldn't that sound out to "Bimm-er" phonetically?

yes, it does sound out to be "bimm-er". That's because it's meant to.
Bimmer = cars
Beemer = motorcycles

personally i dont even get who came up with the distinction, looks just like same thing spelled differently like words colour or color.

I like when you type "Bimmer" into Microsoft Word, spell check suggests "Bummer". Maybe the software coder owns a 335i...

Nope it knows you own a lowly 325i and are jealous of 335i owners.

No, I laugh at 335i owners. That's why they've all joined here, because they can't believe their $55K car can break down so much...

I'm not biased either way, but I honestly don't hear anyone calling it Bimmer anymore. Is it all you old farts who still use that term?

I really hope you were being sarcastic.
The word is spelled "retarded." Spelling it incorrectly may indicate....nevermind.
