Can I pass Inspection with a Akrapovic?

Hey Guys

I just have a pretty general question maybe someone can help me out. I want to change the stock exhaust to an akrapovic. Would i have a problem passing inspection with this exhaust or do i need to somehow acquire an inspection sticker every so often ;-) lol

Thanks for any input

I don't think you'll have a problem passing it. I have xpipe with HFC and Eisen Sport and passed it without a problem lol.

The onlything that you might worry about is if the inspector would try to look at your cats. Which I doubt very seriously that he'll get on his knees to find out. That is if your system has the cats delete. They usually ask and never look. At least here in Georgia. I'm planning on getting an X-pipes, don't know what brand yet. It will at least have the secondary cat delete. Im not too worry about emissions.

If you live in Cali and get the full akrapovic exhaust system that will delete primary and secondary cats. That will not allow you to pass smog. You will also need a tune to get rid of the check engine light that will be thrown onto the car. All a result of deleting the cats, mainly the primary ones.
