My new 2011 e92

The car is amazing. I am really happy with the color and the CF parts i had put on. Coming from an 08 Lotus Elise SC I am loving all the comforts and refinement.

Here are some quick pictures from my phone. I plan on taking her up into the mountains to take some real photos.

I went from an E92 to an Elise SC a year ago. Both great cars but completely different. I am having to get something a bit more practical than the Elise so have a Competition Pack E92 on order (DCT rather than manual this time).

Yes i am in Tempe and the Lotus was chrome orange.

The Lotus was an amazing car. It was just about as raw an experience you can get in a street car. I felt complete connection to every bump and movement as i drove down the street. The loud supercharged engine right behind your head and the steering on rails made for a lot of fun driving. The attention you get in a bright Orange Lotus is also quite interesting. Most people had no idea what it was and i would say most people believed my Lotus was a more expensive car than the M3.
All that being said, it is just not practical for a DD. Getting in and out of the car is absurdly difficult. There are no creature comforts whatsoever. In the end I don't regret being able to drive an amazing machine like that for awhile but i am ready to move on to the quality and size of the M. Many people complain about the need to rev this engine high to get some torque. Coming from the high revving inline 4, I feel right at home in that aspect. Now just got to get through this break in period before i can actually enjoy some of that!

Ive seen you driving the lotus and the M3 around ASU campus. I actually get the chance to drive a tesla roadster for a few days here and there and I know how hard it is getting in and out of those things. Im 6'2" and i feel like a monster in that car, but my E92 M3 is just right. I dont have my M out here but if you see a guy in a white jeep rubicon flashing and waving, its me
