New BMW M3 mirrors exposed!

Looks like they went with an E36 M3 type design.

Interesting.

I like the fact that they are different, but I'm not sure how I feel about these...

They will likely grown on me.

Weird! That's gonna take a while to get used to but I'm glad bmw is doing something different. You're gonna be able to tell an M3 coming from a mile away with those

That design seems like it will generate a lot of wind noise. Not sure how I feel about the looks.

im no BMW engineer but im going to put my money on those arent final trim. they arent even appropriate panel colors, it looks more like matte plastic or tape

Are you nuts?! Do you really think they'll put on side mirrors that create tons of wind noise?

Even though I do not particularly like them, I can imagine that they are final production. I compared that shot with the latest spy pics, and it all fits together. What do others think?

Totally agree. Look at the outside shape and position compared to these pics

Looks accurate to me.

I'm not buying that. I think they are just a camoflauge distraction. I can't image those mirrors supporting auto-folding functionality. The e36M3 mirrors where snapon/off and were prone to theft and damage. Not to mention they look ugly on the e92M3.

OMG barf.

If those are functional folding mirrors they don't look like they'd fold in too much and they'd leave a lot sticking out. Please no.
