Key Fob Range...

I've kinda dealt with this for a year now but it's kinda starting to annoy me lol......I need to be within like 25 feet to unlock the car with clear surroundings, and like 15 when there are obstacles. I know it's not the tint I have on the car because it even did it when I had all the tint removed when I got it re-tinted. What could the problem be?

So what is your key fob range?

yep. even with comfort access. you have to wait about a couple of seconds before this stupid this to go through.. annoying .... the Lexus one is better you just walk to the car, the sec you touch ,it unlock and you drive off. it has a range of rifle too.. BMW did a really bad job with the key fob range and sensitivity. you have to be really close with nothing in front of you..

The range for mine is short as well. After I first got the car, I thought the battery was just going dead because the range was so short, so I replaced it only to find that it wasn't the battery.

My 335i '07 had terrible range. My '11 range is tremendous. Do you have tint?

I actually like the short range. As I read what you folks are saying, I can't help but thing of that episode of Top Gear where Clarkson walks out the restaurant, gets in Hammond's car and parks it in the middle of the street all with the key fob in Hammond's pocket.....

PS. I always just walk up to my car and pull the handle. Never bother try to open the door ahead of time.
