Frozen Gray, stock or not?

So I just got a frozen gray and I wanted some opinions on whether to keep it stock or not. I have this bad habit of messing with all my cars and promising myself that the next car I get will be left alone. Then I heard someones AA pipes and muffler on the m3 and it sounded ridiculous. So i'm putting it on the forum, should I put stuff on the car (and if so, what?) or leave it classic since it's the frozen gray?

Congrats!

I say leave it stock, but then that's my nature.

Did you get your FG off the lot, or did you order it? I'm curious if you paid a premium for it.

I say just do a cat back exhaust. As we know, it is a very slippery slope once you start doing mods.

The first thing I'd do is get the car wrapped in glossy Space Gray.

J/K

Just kidding - I would keep the mods to a minimum though. Maybe wheels and exhaust.

I personally would keep it stock.

If you must mod, I would stick strictly to bolt ons only!
So no: ECU tuning, roll cages, supercharging, turbocharging, etc.

If i were to purchased a pre-owned FG, it better be in stock conditions. And keep all you stock parts!

I have the same problem of wanting to change or add things, but I'm leaving mine alone other than clear bra and tint. And so I got a E36 M3 for my daily driver so I can add the goodies to and satisfy my urges to fu## up

nice...so you bought it...I ordered my e90 M3 sedan from there and was talking to my CA today and he mentioned they sold that FG M3 in their showroom...congrats

I say for the most part leave it stock, it's a limited model already, IMO, you'd be retaining it's value more if you left it stock...that's just my $0.02

You should do whatever you think works best for you. Enjoy your new ride and drive the wheels off it (that's why you bought it right?) instead of thinking about resale value and what someone else will think about your car when it comes time to move onto something new. Who cares what others think of what you drive?

OEM Mods FTW

Also, depends on the exhaust tone you want, but I'd either just get an Eisenmann Race, or Fabspeed X-pipe and Eisenmann Sport.

The first thing I would do is a complete clear bra rap. Rap the entire car!!! Then.....maybe......just exhaust.

I'm definately doing a clear bra (if anyone knows a place in LA let me know) but I'm still debating the exhaust. Not sure if I should wait for bmw performance one to come out or which one to get. open to recommendations...

+1, wheels and exhaust and that should be it. On the other hand you paid for the car, so do whatever makes you happy. Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!

Putting some pictures up soon - just got it tinted so it needs a wash. Now for the exhaust and wheels. I'm thinking powder coat matte black for the rims, but any recommendations for exhaust? The full AA system looks good but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has had any good/bad experiences...

Its funny i said the same thing when i purchased mine two weeks ago. I promised my self i would not mod it because it was going to be my daily driver since i already have a 500whp track toy evo.

And what do you know.... Catback is coming next week, m carbon fiber license plate, black kidney grills, afe intake, vorsteiner cf front lip, carbon fiber mirror covers and carbon fiber side grills as well. I guess modding is a habbit even my iphone 4 and macbook pro are wrapped in carbon fiber. I hate this sickness of modding everything i own.
