Need advice.

Greetings,

I have a 2008 E90 M3. I am an old man so I drive like one. But I love the car. It has 19" OEM wheels with PS-2 tires with about 70-80% tread depth remaining. The wheels are in good condition.

I am wondering if there would be any market out there to trade down to 18" wheels as they would be fine for what I do and the cost of tire replacement is much more affordable.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Bill in Colorado

Go down the page to the classified wheel/tires section. You should get a response there. You'll probably have to buy the 18s first then sell your 19s.

Or post a WTT ad... (want to trade). Offer your 19's to someone local for their 18's plus some agreed upon cash amount. Just make sure the rims are in good condition with tires that have as much life left as yours do.

umm, I would say you're in the minority. People love the 19's, a word of advice is you should do a trade plus you take in cash...

I estimate for every 1 person like you there are like 5 ppl who are looking to trade up.
Personally, I'm in the same boat as you, I love the style of the 18's and it's functionality.

make sure you get a couple hundred on top for the trade... Only fair! Or you can pick up a a set of 18" aftermarket wheels for pretty cheap these days and sell you 19" to offeset the cost after the fact.

I also believe the >2010 cars tpms sensors read a different wavelength so if you trade, try going with a guy with an 09 or 08...
