All i know is the E46 M3 still draws my attention when i see it.

I hope our E9x have the same affect on me years after the end of production.

I plan on keeping it until it turns into dust... so no!

Actually I do mean E90 as I am considering E90 myself, and hence the comparison to C63.

not worried, although I also plan to drive it until the wheels fall off

although I like to get a new daily driver/commuter every few years, I expect to keep my E90 indefinitely at this point

and as far as M3 sedans go, I still gawk at E36 M3 sedans

Maybe more so if they actually make it look worse than an E9X.

For instance, This new Turbo M5 just looks like a big bloat wagon.
I'm not 100% optimistic about future M3s.

And no, I don't really want a turbo.
That is for the pretenders.

To answer your question OP I'm ordering a 2011 Sedan, plan to drive it daily in SoCal, and will also keep it until it turns to dust.

yes agree with the above comments...will also drive it to the ground as a daily driver...u buy an expensive car, but you've effectively spreaded the cost over a 10+ year period of time...(some E9x M3s will turn to dust faster than others, depending on how u drive it, maintain it, etc)

If you think u gonna buy this car and resell it for more than you paid or get something even a bit close, dont do it. lease instead...cuz it will take a 20% haircut off MSRP the day you drive it off the lot. Not to mention losing out on taxes and reg fees..u will never get that back and taxes on this car are like 6-7k +$1300 gas guzzler

I like how most of you guys want to drive the car to the ground haha, but honestly it's hard to say what the car market is like in 4 to 5 years. I would like to give myself options whether I want to drive the car for a long time or switch to the latest and the greatest in a couple of years.

Take my friend's R32 for example - He bought it for 30K brand new. 2 years 25k miles later, the car is still worth 25K. Now that's a car that holds its value well.

Owning gives you that option as well but we are taking the risk where as in leasing BMW is taking the risk. I can tell you that BMWFS took a bath on my 550 that I just returned.

If the value holds up well, we do OK, if not I suspect most who buy can easily absorb the depreciation hit. There are some of us who love the cars we have and don't intend to flip them in three years. If changing cars every three years is your thing then leasing sounds right for you. But what is right for you may not be right for everyone...

Would car like C63 hold its value better at this point?

Thanks for your input.
are you kidding me? absolutely none and i have a 2009. my car is the best on the road
