Wow! Sorry to see that damage! Glad you're OK, though. I was lucky and missed that storm.

I would push the insurance adjuster for new panels rather than repairs; including the roof. And where applicable (hood, trunk, etc), I would look into some mods.

By the way, get a hard wire kit for that radar detector!

In late march of this year my M3 was hit as well. Although it did not look as bad as yours it was pretty severe. I thought there was no way to get the hundreds of dings out especially in the aluminum hood.

I found a guy here in town that was removing dings fom the hundreds of BMWs and Mercs at a dealership in town and he came to my house and was able to remove EVERY ding in the body panels and the car now looks as good as new. He was best described as an artist.

I would look around and find someone locally that has a lot of experience in PDR since there will be a lot of PDR flying in to your town to take advantage of the situation.

Good luck and hopefully it can be corrected with PDR.

Hey man. You still have to pay the deductible. I would sell the car once it is fixed and order a new one, on my old M driving home hail came. I manage to get home but my 4 runner parked out front got about $4,000 worth of hail damage.

I am really sorry about the car. Texas sucks for hail and it worries me when I hear that on the radio or tv of hail warning.

Ouch! I live in AZ too. Down in the southeat valley(Gilbert). We only had pea size hail.
I heard that section of high end auto dealers in North Scottsdale got it real bad. There is Aston, Bentley, Audi, Benz, BMW and Ferrari or Lambo all in one area. Damage is in the millions from what my S/A says.
That would have been torture to watch. I guess there is gpoing to be a sale on some slightly damaged luxury cars soon

ahhh man, this reminds me of 5 years ago.

My honda prelude had just as much damage from a 5 minute hail storm. Brings back the same harsh memories.

Long story short, the car went in for a new paintjob top to bottom. The parts that could not be directly replaced had PDR done first, then a fresh paint job overtop. No bondo/putty was used. Either the parts were brand new OEM, or PDR on areas that were sensitive.

Car was gone for 4 weeks but looked amazing when it came out of the shop. I was super depressed, until I saw the final result.

All in all I guarantee your car will be perfect after the repair, just make sure you use a reputable shop that has worked on hail damaged cars.

Best of luck, she will be up and running before you know it.

Ouch, I am sorry dude. That really looks not so great. I remember beig pelted a couple of years ago. It turned out it wasn't so bad but I remember feeling incredibly helpless at the time... Then, had to slip and slide all over the slushy roads home...

Good luck with your repairs.

Worst hail damage I ever saw - lucky it didn't crack the windshield!
We RARELY get hail in the northeast, but true story: I had just taken delivery of a new (to me) 996TT and even though the sky looked threatening the next morning, I wanted to give it a quick wash before waxing and detailing it in the garage. Pulled the car out, walked into the garage and at that MOMENT the sky exploded with hail (less than 1" in diameter fortunately, so no damage). I was so shocked I think I froze for a few moments before running out to pull it back into the garage!
