It looks promising...the rear treatment follows the new CL. I like how they have different front grille treatments for the Sport package model. I think they're gearing up the Sport models as contenders for the benchmark E90.

Stylingwise, its interesting to note the area where the A-pillar, hoodline and front fender converge. Critics were critical of this design element on the E90 saying how it looks much like an afterthought and inelegant/clumsy. But lo and behold the W204 has it as well!!

Note also the front fender fore of the A pillar. An argument could also be made for the character lines along the flanks.

i actually think its hideous, and the interior is a huge downgrade, look at the navi placement for my case and point!!!! it looks like the command system was an afterthough

I think it looks really good. Better than the is350 and new g35. The steering wheel and interior are awfull though. I like the rear 3/4 shot. I think I like it because its not like your everyday car. I dunno I usually dont like benzs designs but this is the nicest looking c-class ever by far IMO.

i dont know why but the styling of the car just doesn't please me. Then again ive always been a coupe guy so i may be bias.
