Just took Green Hell M3 to the Dyno

I’ve been getting a lot of PMs lately about doing some dynos for my M3 and after some extra egging on from IND, I decided to go through with it and see what the car had.

We went to AMS, because we knew that was the most reliable shop in Chicago. They’ve got the best reputation among tuning shops here, and they don’t work on M3s so they have any bias towards them

I was pretty annoyed when I heard they got rid of the dynojet for a mustang, but we ran the car anyway. AMS says the new mustang dyno reads 8% lower than their old dynojet used to. The car made 503 hp on the mustang, so that translates to roughly about 540 or so on their old dynojet.

congrats! pretty good numbers.

I love AMS... it's the only company i trusted with my Evo. If i had an R35 GTR, they would definitely be massaging that bad boy too!

probably not... their evo's are more than capable of handling an M3. They have the ability to make more power and their lighter in weight.

This is an AWD dyno. The reason AMS got this model is for GT-R and Porsche applications where it is critical that the front and rear rollers are tied together at exact speeds so the stability systems dont freak out.

it was mainly for their Evo... remember they started out in the DSM world where evo's and Eclipse GSX's came AWD.

Youre HALF right.... they already had a dynojet AWD for the mitsu etc for a long time.... i meant THIS mustang dyno was bought for the GTR/Porsche cars.

The dyno jet will be re installed at a later date in another room im told.
