Pre-LCI Power steering intercooler vs LCI model
I have noticed that 2011 LCI models come with the Power Steering intercooler half blocked. Is there a reason why BMW wants to keep it hotter ?

I am not sure if that is the PS cooler. It should be the trans cooler, and all the ones I have seen are the same way. (6MT)

It is the transmission cooler for the 6MT and it's been half blocked since day one. BMW saved money by using the same part for this job as they use for the 335 engine oil cooler.
