Hanging of Hussein
It's official... Saddam Hussein has been hanged by the Iraqi Govt. for crimes against humanity. Hussein's brutal dictatorship has now been ended by an equally (perhaps not equally) brutal method of killing. I hope his death does not lead others to sacrifice themselves for an awful cause, the war against our so-called satanic way of life.
I know this is a somber post, but these are important times....

I haven't been following it much, and was surprised that he was hanged as it is a very brutal execution. However, I don't, for one minute, believe his hanging was as brutal a death as any he was involved in during his 35 years of tyranny.

He and his sons we just evil. The stories of torture and death are too numerous to recount. I remember seeing a documentary where witnesses told of people being thrown live, feet first into shredding machines used for trees.
It's unlikely his death will make it any easier for the troops in Iraq though, as if they haven't got enough on their hands. Chesmu, the Iron Cross and the paraphrasing of one of Otto Von Bismarcks most famous quotes, are you a fan of the old fella?

And another tyrant disappears off the world stage...good riddance....I was in Turkey at the time he gassed that Kurdish village...the survivors, many of whom were maimed for life, were set up in a refugee camp several miles from where I was living...what a nightmare...

I should not waste my time to comment on that. And the reason we're where we are because of those ignorant comments -- if you don't like it, leave... That is much easier than dealing with reality... |

Where I come from is not an issue here.
Where I have been may be an issue because I have seen what people from other countries (Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, WHOLE Europe, Canada, Mexico...) think about this great country and the great people of this country. That makes me sad as I know a lot of people here and I know their views. You, on the other hand have been heavily brainwashed and you take my comments as the hatred toward this country, and you don't see that it is purely toward the bad leadership that we had. WHat I contribute to this society is probably much greater than you sitting somewhere in Germany and driving the Bimmer, but that is again not the point here... So, the reality for me and 65% of Americans and 90% of the rest of the World may be different from your reality... I'll stick with the majority... |

You have fallen prey to the international PR campaign against our country, arguably one of the most complicated, well thought out plans in history... it's success to date epitomized by people like you: 'Americans' that live here and hate our country and the people that want to stay true to the ideals it was founded on. If you want to "stick with the majority", I'd be glad to buy your one-way plane ticket to Iran, Venezuela, N. Korea or any other socialist country where you can experience it first hand. Just leave me the keys to your bimmer... you won't need it over there since the 'state' will take care of all your needs. It makes me ill to think our sons and daughters are fighting so you can have the freedoms you have. |

I don't FUCKING CARE what other countries' people think of me or my country. It's a non-issue for me. They hate us, and our country, and our leadership, because we have, and they have not. It is their jealousy, religion, and spite, all rolled into one neatly wrapped package. They "beleive" we are evil, because of the things we say/do/wear/etc. They point the finger at us because we take action in this world where others will not (damn french. jk!). We are the most powerful single nation in the world. Did you ever have an older role-model type, who was better than you at almost everything, and who did whatever he wanted and got away with it? At first you think, "Oh my GOD! he's SO COOL!"... Then you get bitter, angry, and jealous, that YOU are not that guy... I think you see my meaning. Welcome to the land of opportunity. Now take this opportunity to take your head out of your ass. Live life for yourself, as you think life should be lived. NOT how the damn "(Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, WHOLE Europe, Canada, Mexico...)" say you should live. |
