some stores do sell expired products. Once I bought a bag of chips and noticed that it was expired right after I walked out of the store. I tried exchanging it but they refused. I check everything for the expiration date now. hehehe

Expired products can be pretty deathly. Good thing you didnt eat those eggs. yuck!!

That sucks, stores here have to replace expired stock if it is bought accidentally.

Have you thought that perhaps the number is the date and not year?

Only if they are fertilized - if there is a tiny blood clot like red line inside the egg - otherwise eggs are like, well eating eggs

I also think that it is likely that the numbers are references to days. Especially since the milk in the carton, if the OP is right, would be fetta-like cheese

I dunno. when you guys say eggs, all i think about is the farmer putting all the boy chicks in a big black plastic bag while they are still alive because they cant lay eggs.

I have about 40 chickens in my back yard. The boy chickens don't go in a bag

They get their heads , and once they stop spurting and kicking, their feathers pulled out and the body placed in a pot with some spices, simmered until the meat falls off the bones, and then you have your chicken soup for the soul.

I know,

I'm going to go eat a salad with some tofu sprinkled on top . . .
