I have heard a few people make this comment now. I have never heard that before. I sold and leased cars for years (10+ years ago) and this was never told to me. I had a car totaled that was a lease and had gap insurance on it which most or all leased vehicles do and I received most of my down payment back. The insurance paid retail for the totaled car, Ford got their money and I got mine. Is this not how it works still?

Well, the answer is,- you know you got a good deal when you don't get any gifts when taking delivery
That is probably the most true statement ever said on this or any forum.

alright sort of figured it out!

-The interest rate or whatever its called on a lease that i got was- .0018 which comes out to 3.9% (3.9 is a lot less then my finance rate that i had on my 335i)
- The value of the car is 50% at the end of my 3 years.

also you guys said if the car is stolen this and that, that i would be screwed, but isn't that what insurance and gap insurance is for?

Right now 3 year old fully loaded m3's with prem, tech, dct, 19's, prem. sound with 30k miles are going for around $50,000.00. So when my lease is up ill prob end up buying it at the $36,000 payoff amount.

Hey man, the deal is done so there isn't much reason to stress over it any further. You now have a wonderful car so just go out and enjoy it! If you are truly unhappy with the deal, just try to do better next time. On the other hand, you could do a massive burnout in the dealership parking lot - that might make you feel better. And be sure to leave plenty of smoke!

Cheers!
