Nissan service

I am young I think but I have owned a Z06 and boy did the service suck. If you buy the GTR get ready to get a Nissan Leaf as a loaner or something smaller. I mean the guy who buys a Sentra gets treated just like the GTR guy(Crap). Lets face it when you drive an M the service is great.

The level of service I've gotten from Nissan has been far better than BMW to date.

Personally I don't care what the brand is as long as I have a quality product and get treated with a decent level of respect.

I had a fun time reading the thread. Good topic and all, but what is the meaning of pcar guys? (Sorry for being off-topic).

I have been a member here for quite sometime now and have seen the word pcar mentioned every now and then. Did a on google and this forum with no luck at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Boardwalk received 19 cars that Porsche had taken back from a dealer that went out of business in New Orleans. I was able to pick up my 2009 with the full new car factory warranty and all of 16 miles on it. Since it had never been titled it was treated as a new car. Here are pics of the GT-R and the new Pcar.

Wow dude...quite the past...what 12-18 months???

Leave some money in your pocket for new transmissions..

But GT-R is a really really good car for that money. definitely not a DD .

What can I say, I have commitment issues! I think my wife of 10 years is starting to worry if I'm going to trade her in soon.

I have extensive experience with the GTR & 997.1 Turbo. My problem with the GTR is that it lacks personality. Dont get me wrong, the GTR does everything very well especially finding grip where grip is hard to find. A porsche might be slower, but it has personality, character and feel.

I looked into a GT-R, for the way I drive - it wasn't a good idea. I would be walking on thin ice with the warranty and service issues, and hell no am I driving a rental for two weeks while I pay 10k in service after some serious track days.

Sell the M3 and get 2010 GTR. It would be a daily driver for the summer.

I know the m3 is classier, but I am young and feel like this is really the only time I could personally pull a GTR off. Don't like the interior or lack of 6mt, but in terms of sheer fun and insaniety, I dont know what else there is.

Please chime in and tell me if I am thinking wrong, love my car, always will.

Thanks Nick

GTR is a fine machine. Not perfect, not the most comfortable or "classy" but there is no doubt that it is an amazing machine. You only live once! I think you will enjoy it!

Or do what I did. I found a guy on the GTR forum that wanted to drive an M3 and we traded cars for a couple of hours. That was enough to get the GTR out of my system for a while.

The warranty thing depends mostly on the attitudes of the Nissan dealerships in your area. Some are far more reasonable to work with than others.

I've found the GTR has a decent amount of personality for being a Japanese car. The S2000 is the only Japanese car I've driven that's shown more soul.

The gtr is a beast. Taken my brothers out and performance wise its on another level compared to the m3, but for everyday use the m3 is on another level. It all comes down to what you want and what you're willing to sacrifice.

For me there's no way I could DD the gtr. I'm willing to sacrifice comfort for performance but only up to a point. I think the m3 is about as far as I can go. Comfort wise the gtr is just too much of a compromise when I'm putzing through rush hour traffic. But if you're willing to give up a bit more on the comfort side the gtr will definately put a smile on your face.

didn't read the other posts yet so you may have decided

other then my M3 i personally love the Porsche GT3 but that is bc i love NA engines and manual tranny's. so for me the only other car that would be more fun would be the GT3 or if tracking then the RS

but if your bored of the NA engine and just want something different all together bc that is what the GTR will be totally different having AWD, Turbo, Paddles, shitload of power.

but i also have heard Nissan is really strict and does not cover certain things under warranty, when people were basically having fun with the car. i mean they build that kind of car and what expect people to drive it like an old man. i think they even decreased the 0-60 i read somewhere

i was also thinking GT3 or any 911 bc you guys just got the 4 door and maybe you could get a good deal on another since you just bought one from the dealer maybe they would hook you up on another purchase

i just don't like the looks in or out really and that vaccum sound yuck. it also has a harsh ride for a daily compared to the M

well i guess you know my vote now lol. it is a sickly fast car though so be careful if you get one bro

I was seriously in-between a 2011 GT-R and another 2011 M3. The maintenance of the GT-R is what killed it for me. I know I can do the work on my own and save money but it's just such a hassle. I'd rather have everything be taken care of by the dealership and not worry about it.
