generally speaking, what are the insurance implications to an event like this? I do not have a copy of my insurance policy with me, but I am going to read through it next week when I get home.

Talk to your agent but make sure you explain that it is a "Driver Education Day" with a proper curiculum with classroom instruction and qualified instructors. We have had students confirm that they are covered at our days by their insurance companies. But the real point is that our days from the get go are set up to be as safe as possible for everyone involved.

My Brother in law and I are both in. A Jet on Fox E90 (myself - Jason) and a Jerez on Fox E90 (Mark). We are both track virgins so we will not be doing advanced lapping with some of you track whores, but rather easing into it with a bit of instruction.
Looking forward to a fun day.

How much fuel do you guys arrive at the track with?
Do you make a fuel run mid day?
Should I show up with full tank, half tank?
I know how aggressive you are plays a big roll in fuel consuption, but in general.
Can you tell I'm a rookie yet?
Thanks.

Arrive with full fuel and I usually fuel up again early afternoon when my fuel light comes on.There is fuel available within 10 minutes of the track or nextdoor at the big track if they are open.

What a great day!We lucked out with the weather with the rain only starting at 4.45!I am very happy to say that the day ran very smoothly with no real problems. We should keep ALMS in his Cooper S as he causes much less trouble than when he is in his M3Jay was doing his best to present all sides of his car to Riaan's onboard camera & my rear view mirror coming onto the back straightThat had to be the save of the dayI am sure that video will be up in the next few days for all to enjoy.
There were some really neat cars that showed up besides the E9x M3's & 335is's including a Porsche 930 Turbo race car,997TT and a new Mercedes SLS that just sounded just great and went pretty good!

Thanks for a great day! ALM3 was actually my instructor for the first few sessions. He did a great job because in my last session I was able to push around the 997TT for a few laps, then pass him and pull away a bit (felt great). We will forsure be out again next season...and Mark knows now not to slide out onto the rumble strips and clip apexs with street tires next time
Your generosity (along with Maya and your Wife) to get him back on the track in the afternoon was unbelievable

Mark must have hit the end of the rumble strip to have holed the sidewall like that as I usually slide up onto the curbing with no issues.I am glad that we were able to help him out!

Great day for sure! I really didnt think my upshift into 3rd gear with greasy tires was going to break the back end loose! I didnt realize how great a save it was until Riaan played the video back and he and his wife couldnt stop talking about it! Looking forward to checking out the vid.

Thanks again for letting us M3 guys know about the event. Was a blast.

Bobbyz - didnt realize you were there until after the day was over - will have to look out for you at the next event and introduce myself. Was a really busy day. Didnt feel like I spend much time out of a car all day. There was a nice showing of M3's!

What? I never saw you slide onto the curbing

Great car control. Actually, the fact that there were no offs, really showed the control of the experienced lappers along with us novices driving within our limits.

The only thing really that would scare me on the DDT would be getting loose on the back kink...guess it's a build up of confidence and experience knowing that our vehicles are capable of it. I was lifting a little on the kink, which I know is actually worse because it made the car light going through there.

Learned alot from you guys and look forward to doing it again.

Jaypod, It was a busy day. Your car looks great. Look forward to the video/pics and meeting you at a future event.
