New e92 m3 VS new e46 m3?

Hey everyone, I was wondering what your view on this topic is. If you had the chance to buy a brand new e92 m3 or a brand new e46 m3 which one would you choose. (Keep in mind you would be able to spec the e46 exactly how you like). Both cars would be the same price they were new. Would some of you guys jump into the e46 or would you stay with your e92. I ask this because I have heard many e46 owners regret selling their e46 and wish they still had it. What are your opinions?

E92 all the way. The E46 was a great car, but things have moved on

I wish to buy a brand new Silver Grey CSL instead of my brand new MY11 E92 M3.

E92 because it's more advanced. However, the E46 IMHO is a nicer body for it's time.

I still have my e46 M3 so it's hard to justify two of the same model. But if I could only have one it would be the e46 M3, but next time without sunroof and maybe imola red.

Interesting thread for me...

Recently I meet up with the new owner of my former E46 M3 which he now is also selling. I have to say when I parked my E92 M3 next to my former beloved E46 M3-which I thought was the best thing since slice bread-I couldn't believe how quickly I changed my mind about that car. I use to adore that car in every way, but after taking it for another rip and parking it next to the E92 I knew I was done with the E46 M3 admiration. The E92 M3 is by far a better car in every aspect and I would never have said that before owning the new one.

E92 M3 all the way!!

My old E46

I could not have said it better, I loved my E46 and was hesitant to change. Like most folks that have not seen an E92 up close, it was a hard choice. Photos and stats do nothing for the new gen M3.

M for life!

E92 M3 all the way,
I liked the E46 M3 back in the days but i realized the difference was huge when i took a test drive recently. The overall performance and interior looked very outdated in the E46 and i would not get it because of the rear sub frame issues. Don't get me wrong E46 M3 is still a good car, but the auto industry's bar has been raised a lot since E46 era.

E46 was great but there really in no comparison. The e92 is on a different level in terms of performance, luxury and prestige.

E92 M3 FTW!

E92 M3 without a doubt, regardless of how much I always loved the E46. The E46 would never stand a chance in comparison from an engineering standpoint (objective) and from a cosmetic standpoint (subjective).
