OEM 19's in better size?[just a thought]

I'm not sure how many of you like the OEM 19s(read: NON ZCP) ..but I actually think they are one of the better looking wheels on the e9x M3. And I'm talking about taking into consideration aftermarket wheels as well. Anyways, I can't help but to think that if the OEM 19's were offered in a wider and more ideal(flushed) offset..I would pick them over my Neez.

Anyone else feel this way?

I'm with you. I get compliments all the time on how great they look.

Though I'd love to have some Volk VR.G2's.

Agree, the only reason I am considering switching is so I can get a wider tire on the back. They look great.

They are great looking wheels. They really look good with darker colors and even white. I loved the similar looking wheel on my E46 M3. Other positives are that they are high quality and designed to be very durable. The downsides are that they are a bit narrow for people wanting to go with wider tires, they are on lots of cars, some people are tired of the look(from the E46).

Spacers can solve the stance. Be careful there tough. Stance sacrifices function to get a "look". The BMW OEM offsets minimize trash on the side of the car and rock chips on the side sills

Nah. I'm tired of the look after 7 years with my E46 M3 and now 1.5 years with my new M3. To me they now look too 'pin stripey' and not bold and sporting enough. Although almost 9 years ago with the E46 they looked pretty butch. But time marches on and styles change.

+1 on the durability and lightness. These are forged wheels that are hard to match in the aftermarket. So I'm keeping mine for autocross and track duty with CHR's for daily driving.

They're not the same as the E46 M3's OEM 19s are they? They really don't look a like, aside from the obvious design cues ..I was never a fan of any of the e46 M3 wheels(CSL being exception)...I guess every generation there's a wheel that is hard to match..CSL for E46, and these for the E9X

I didn't know that they were forged... are the comp. pack ones forged as well?
(BTW, does anyone know the weight on the comp. pack wheels and the OEM 19s?)

I am a big fan of my OEM 19s with spacers as well.

For the quality and weight of these wheels, its hard to find anything aftermarket thats equal in price.

This is coming from a guy who hasnt kept stock wheels in the past decade.

No, not exactly the same, the fronts especially have a dished form that the E46 do not. However, the basic spoke design and finish are the same and I'm just tired of it. Both wheels designs are forged btw.

No, ZCP wheels are not forged. More like the CHR's I'm getting which are flow form cast.

Although I don't like the idea of spacers and there are some minor drawbacks sometimes in their use they absolutely bring out a whole new look to OEM wheels properly filling the fender wells. I ran this configuration from very early on with my car until I got the RG63s.
