My Frozen Silver E92 With Fresh Detail

Spent the morning washing the car, and putting a matte specific coating on to protect the paint. One month into ownership, and I still get butterflies when I fire it up

Simple iPhone pics...and just ignore the front license plate holder, need to find an effective way to cover up the holes beyond the bumper plug idea (not keen on drilling bigger holes).

Lookin' good! Are you planning to change out the side markers? The black doesn't really flow.

Funny you say that I was just thinking the same thing. I am going to look into body color side markers, not sure if this will be harder to find given the matte paint but I’ll start looking.

Beautiful Frozen Silver !

..but what don't you like about the black-side marker? I think it suits the seriousness of the matte silver very well! Where in Texas are you? I actually keep DuPont urethane Silverstone ii A29 paint on hand and could paint the markers for you in either gloss or matte finish. Shoot me a PM if interested !

I'm playing around with different products...for this detail, I used Dr. Beasley's car shampoo, followed by Dr. Beasley's sealant. Supposed to last up to a year, and keeps the finish looking nice and matte, ie no polish. Was pretty impressed with how the car turned out, but I don't know yet how it beads water, etc...will find out next weekend when I wash it

I'm pretty sure IND has them but I could be wrong.

Just as an update in case you'd like a visual... I removed the matte black gills and painted my spare, OE chrome gills last night, then tinted the indicator light with 35% automotive film. I actually like the clean look, BUT today i'm going to try dark limo tint on the indicator because I feel a little black is missing...given that the color of the plastic side vent socket is black. Will report back tomorrow!

Which coating did you end up going with?

Nice steering wheel! I have the same one but have not installed it yet.

Thx! I ended up using Dr. Beasley’s sealant. Very easy to apply and take off and it really gave the car a nice even, matte look. Hasn’t rained yet here in TX so not sure of the beading/protection qualities yet. Plan on washing her this weekend so we’ll see.

Steering wheel is nice but I think I prefer the feel of the more traditional leather wheel. Might swap with somebody if we can work it out.

As promised....how she looks with painted markers and dark-tint lights.

I'm keeping it like this! I'm so glad someone mentioned this, we never truly know what we "want" when it comes to mods, lol

Wow, that looks great. This is the direction I will go too. Always thought it would look good with my Mineral White paint, and yours definitely proves that! Thanks for the pick.
