I like this very much. Only had my M3 for a few days and love the somewhat stealthy noise it makes stock. But having the ability to flip between mental and stock is very interesting. I bet the blip on downshift in the open mode would give me a crisis

Another thread revival as I'm looking to do this on my X5M vs a muffler delete. How are everyone's units holding up, be it either Race Ready or Jegs?

Definitive, any reason why you didn't do boost actuated valves? Any reason why you didn't do this pre-resonators? Being the X5M is a twin turbo, I was thinking I'm going to do them as close to my catless downpipes as possible...but I'd LOVE your input. I was thinking of connecting them up via the stock vacuum lines running to the stock muffler exhaust valves and rerouting them to the cutouts depending on how the M button actuates them.

Jegs still going strong after two years (on my second set since 2011!). Race ready didn't last one. Horrible product and lackluster customer focus! They will tell you they have a lifetime policy, but they only replace it once! And they gave me trouble because I live in the Northeast and they say their valves are NOT designed to operate in salty conditions. Ok, so the valves are only designed for the lower half of the country?! Pathetic!

DON'T BUY Race Ready Performance electronic cutout valves. Here's why: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...40#post9589740
