I said this in the other post, I just think the system isnt jiving up. I.E. since the packages are "blocked" the system isnt recognizing the package at all. Therefore it might be charging leather as an individual option, not part of a package. Same thing goes for the trim. I cant imagine they would strip leather from the premium package. What are you left with after leather and trim? A premium garage door opener and folding mirrors!!

Isn't the new Premium Package 2 giving you power seats other wise you get manual seats as standard now? So maybe they in fact dropped the leather and trim in the premium package and included power seats and the other previous options.

Well, I went back and read the July 9th annoncememnt. For the M3, it describes "A new Premium Pacakge 2 (ZP2) package is available, which has the same equipment as the prior Premium Package, but add Power Front Seats for the M3 Coupe and Sedan." I would read that as including the extended leather and that the computer system is just not making the connection yet... But I'll believe it when I have it in writing from my dealer!

Speed Cloth is standard default equipment,- if you don't select any leather or premium package, you will automaticly get "Anthracite Black Cloth/Leather",-aka "Speed Cloth".
Same way you automaticly get Carbon Fiber Roof as standard equipment if you don't select MoonRoof (or sunroof...whatever)... and it is the same way you get 6MT if you do not select DCT... Just getting these 2 standard options,- 6MT and Speed Cloth,- will save you a ton of cash! (wow- $3500 in savings!!!)

Let me guess, you're either 19 or 20. ![]() I actually ordered every single option and could care less whether it costs $455 or $855. All that matters is that I paid well under invoice for my car... How are those cloth seats coming along? ![]()

on the contrary i actually noticed it quite a bit around turns. I used to use the steering wheel as support in turns with leather seats... now the seat holds me much better and i don't move one bit.

I think the point is: to each his own. If you like the speed cloth, then great...you don't have to pay for the upgraded leather. If you want leather...that's great as well and you can add it for $950. Really on a car of this price, a $950 option shouldn't come into play that much.

Awesome!
Finally, I found the genuine owner of that SC Seat! I didn't get it from your ED shots, but somewhere else on this forum, don't remember where... Great pics man! Some photos are poster worthy! And unbelievable coverage of ED!!! So, this is official now we get extended Cloth for '11? I desperately need more visual experience before I take delivery of my own SC seats...in my M3 ... need more interior shots from you ![]()

I wanted suede seats but they are not offered. I bet suede would have even more grip than cloth. So I opted for leather like a normal person.
