I don't know why we are still here when our ROE make us useless.

I don't get what the hell the USA and others are still doing in Afghanistan or Irak. It should have been intense for 2-3 years max., and then go home.

Now their population has a feeling that they are permanently invaded and it just creates a crazier race of nuts. And of course, some alliances were created and when everybody will go home, some Afghanistaners/Ikrakers will be slaughtered to have collaborated.

Everybody goes home. Every soldier now killed there is for nothing. A complete waste.

The local national's are not scared of us which is why they don't rat out the Taliban.

It was a very strange 'war' where no matter what we did we never felt we won or accomplished anything. The local national's never Thanked us. They also don't have any nationalism and stick to their own local tribe's. Which is why the country is still what it is today.

I'm sure you've served in Afghanistan already... When I was there I didnt see any signs of a withdrawal anytime soon. Having a military base in Afghanistan is strategically important.

As for ROE, maybe the U.S. is obligated to help because of what happened in the 80-90s when the Soviets left.

Correct, zero sign of withdraw. Fob's are still growing everywhere in Zabul, Kandahar, and Helmand Provinces.

I don't give two shits about what they think. If we catch known Taliban's then they should be treated the same way they treated their victims.

My only concern is that we make sure their actually Taliban and not innocent civilian's.
Don't get me wrong, I'm with you. But those pansies have a strong voice in this country (most of the Democratic party for instance.) Even the top executive in the country promised to shut down Gitmo. But, last time I checked, that was just another unfulfilled promise......

ah just make them work on pig farms, there is nothing more degrading to them then having to touch a pig.

You know McCarthur buried the muslins that were fighting against the American on the Philippine islands with dead pigs, it sent them a clear message he was not messing around.
