Yes, Esotar is based on a very limited volume model, with no economies of scale and lots of production fallout for not meeting specs in the QA process.

They do sound great.

No sir, no extra opening here. Hats off to 808mguy for making a great ring.

Indeed. 86 checkpoints of HANDS ON QC, not random from a cookie cutter line, but Each individual driver. Hell the BBC liked em enough to use them exclusively, them along with parts from Disney, Sony and CBS. Of course let's not leave out Bugatti.

Also, did you end up getting the Vanadiums to fit? That's what I'll be using if I can find an installer in the Pacific NW that doesn't want to charge me $5000 for install alone.
Yessir, it is a Jehnert Panel.

If you are near, or even a bit far, VP Electricity should absolutely be your man to see !

I've seen at least one really good installer make a stepped ring on a router, which uses the OEM bolt holes, but doesn't locate the driver frame against the door. It moves the driver frame forwards, into the grille cavity. This allows retention of the mechanical mounting system, while gaining the space needed.

So, no, using the OEM bolts does not necessarily mean that the driver hits the window. Using them as if it was a sedan, I'm sure they do hit the window.

I'm looking for the pic I was sent, to illustrate more clearly what I mean.

Technic,

Just curious, how did this sound with no processing? I might be getting a crazy idea which means I would have to ditch the DSP for a little while until I could get a hold of a BitOne or MS-8.

The OEM HU/iDrive outputs without any processing sound excellent as long as your amp has decent crossovers.

Replaced the front doors speaker spacers from MDF to plastic-made, including a built-in lip a little tighter in diameter than the Morel plastic mount (included in the set). So the Morel just snap into the spacer and then the screws are used to adjust how deep into the door the spacer will be.

The OEM grille is attached to the Morel with Dynamat -really strong, amazingly. No hitting the window with the magnet either. Sorry for the Droid photo quality, we were in a hurry...

Sorry to bring this thread back but i need help.

I am just about to buy some morel 4" components and i have an E92. In the past i have tried to fabricate adaptors but not to much success. Can anyone do me a huge favour and send me some adaptors that will enable morels to be fitted into an E92, maybe Technic or 6spdcoupe? I will of course pay.

Thanks
