well i hope that isn't true. I saw in a new '11 sedan right off the carrier designated for dealer stock mats put in the trunk, they were plain black. I have never seen "free" mats in a 3 series straight from the VPC. This car was a dealer stock car not ED. The mats were in white plastic.

My 2011 came with generic black mats. No M logo so I assume they are generic 3 series mats.

I don't know if they stopped making them, but they are currently on backorder with no confirmed ETA.

Mine came with mats, but generic 3 series mats I think. No M logo or anything.

Just in case they are going EOL I ordered a set from Turner. If my dealer gets some in then I'll have two sets.... One can never have too many floor mats.

what is pathetic is that it is the sad reality - they are doing us a favor.

What really pisses me off is that the 2011's have those vinyl visors

I hope Pace BMW gives me free M floor mats. I doubt though because they aren't making too much money on the car since i got such a nice deal. It would be really nice of Tom to hook it up for me. I hope your reading this, Tom

for the really technical people, the non BMW, non M floor mats are the lightest. people actually BUY aftermarket ones to save a few ounces. ridiculous.

i have the none bmw, non M mats. its floor mats, get over it. we have enough M logo plastered all over our cars already.

Bump.

Anyone done ED lately and can comment on what floor mats you get? I'm guessing if you add the $139 option, you'll get the ///M version. Seems like it could/would be cheaper to buy afterwards if the dealer does not toss them in.

I'm doing ED in 10 days. My SA went over the build details on the computer with me and it said I was getting mats but no mention of M3-specific mats. It seems that I'm also getting a first aid kit because the car was delivered in Germany. In Canada they don't come with one.

Cool, congrats! Please pop back in this thread if you remember, to tell us about the mats. Yes, no first-aid kit for NA cars, as far as I've read.

From your dealer, or ordered as $139 option?

M3 mats here, but they are looking a little tired, maybe I'll order another set - I'd love to see some all weather M3 mats

The dealership I ordered my car from threw in the M3 mats for free as part of the deal. I must say that the quality has gone down. My 1996 M3 had better floor mats.

Mats are techinically extra charge. But most of us got the M3 logo ones for free, I also got a set of generic BMW mats too. I've never seen blanks before.

I have learned (from owning previous cars), that it is better to get a few extra sets of OEM mats while the car is still in current production, because 10 years down the road, they can be hard to find.

I can't believe the car doesn't come with mats. I ordered an M3. Do I need to contact my dealer to ask if the car will come with floor mats or just wait and see if it does?

I bought my car CPO'd and it had it M3 logo mats in it that were dirty as fuck...After I signed the papers and the sales broad handed me the keys and she said she threw brand new M3 mats in the car. Dealer cost for floor mats is oogotz so most will throw them in as a courtesy.

It's the dealers choice, but seriously, 70K car and you can't throw in 40 dollar (true dealer cost) mats?
I had M3 matts with my car as well.... I asked the dealer about them and they too looked at me like crazy as if saying "uh of course they come with M3 matts".
