I have a basic objection to the "Joy is" slogan used by BMW. Actually a few objections. First I think it is a bit silly. Joy is this, joy is that. When I see those words my mind says Joy is silly.

Second is my daughter is named Joy. Anyone who knows anyone named Joy will instantly know what I mean. Take Joy to work. Bwahahaha. I wonder if BMW would like to hire my daughter for some advertising, give her an M3, and then BMW could show her driving it, saying Joy is Joy. Really silly. But I will clam up if I see an M3 in the driveway.

What da ya say BMW, would you like to make joy for the papa of Joy by giving a Joy to Joy? Boy o boy!

JOY IS WOW.

To the JOY story. In USA it is special as BMW slogan is "The Ultimate Driving Machine". But you have to know that BMW is German so the solgan was in german, and this joy solgan is from the very begining. It is "Freude am Fahren". If to translate is into english it would be "Joy of driving". But it does not have the same nuance as in german. In french it is "Plaisir de conduire". This when tranlated into english is much close to the german sense. "Pleasure of driving".

Joy is BMW. 3D Animation in Singapore

Yes, I know this is a repost of the link on the General BMW news, but I think it will get a lot more notice on here. You should all watch this, it seriously is one of the most creative things ever projected on the side of a building. It's just one more reason why I love the world's 4th most reputable company.

Suck it Audi
