Steering Advice Needed

Brand new E90 sedan. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the servotronic feedback and feel, even at the "highest" setting. It pales in comparison to my EVO VIII. So far I have added Dinan's front camber plates, rear sway bar, springs and strut brace. It has improved brake dive, turn-in and flattened out the cornering, but of course the steering is still too numb.

Any ideas about how to reduce the overboosted steering assist, or how to totally replace the rack and entire steering system with one that is more in keeping with this car's chassis and power?

Outside of spending big bucks I don't think there's anything you can do. I have not heard of any steering mods, except for the BMW performance steering wheel. Maybe a smaller diameter steering wheel would help, but it would have to be third-party and you'd probably lose the steering wheel buttons. IDK.

However, I don't think it's that bad, but that's just MHO. Good luck.

Cheers.

You could try a crank pulley which will underdrive the power steering.
