Brake fluid change: covered by BMW or not?
Getting my oil change and brake fluid change this Saturday. I thought all maintenance was covered for 4 years but the dealer e-mail appointment confirmation says it's $185 for the brake fluid change and $0 for oil change. Are they right?

My brake fluid light came on a few months ago and the dealer did a flush which cost me nothing. If you just want a flush for track events, find a local reputable BMW shop and they should be a lot cheaper than the dealer.

I just had it done, and it is free. The service confirmation system is simply providing the list price, and does not take into account the free maintenance program. If recall, there is also "fine print" on the same confirmation doc saying just that.

It's actually a great BMW marketing gimmick to remind you of how much free stuff you're getting.
