The car has EDC along with every other option. I sent you an email with the VIN. Also, the certified warranty includes BMW roadside assistance for the duration of the coverage period. The car was originally purchased new on 4/21/08, so the warranty covers all the way until 4/21/2014.

Actually its 6yrs/100,000 from the date the car goes into service (new). The whole idea of the "certified status" is NOT only that you get a warranty. It assures the car is in like-new condition, and everything on the car meets a very strict set of guidelines. Even if no warranty came with the cpo'd cars, they would still be a much safer buy, as you would know that the car was in near perfect condition cosmetically AND mechanically.

If you are looking at only the warranty when you make comments like that, you are missing the big picture. If you own one of these cars that a private owner beat the snot out of and stuff starts breaking, you will be dishing out some major ca$h to fix it....no thanks. I'd rather pay a small amount more now than get stuck with a lemon.

+1 on having a CPO'd car, my E90 was bought CPO'd and I wasn't worried about dependability as much. The warranty helped with piece of mind. Do I think some non CPO cars are better maintained? Yes, because dealerships also believe in "lifetime fluids" for servicing now so it'll depend on the owner if they want to do 15k oil changes or if they want to pay out of pocket for extra preventative maintenance of the car.
Goodluck on the sale!! (try cars.com, ebay, autotrader, sold my E90 online, had some interest on E90post but, mostly low-ball offers.)
