need to keep 245/265 wheel offset for winters?

thinking about getting 265 all round for winters, do we need to stagger the size?

If you are using the OEM wheels, you are better off getting 235/40 front and 255/40 rear.
Running a 265 up front in winter is not the best set up.

As Stalker says thinner is better for snows. BMW suggests 235/40-18 all around, but most running a square setup run 245/40 on 18s. A fair amount of options in that size. If you want to keep it staggered, that is fine but you don't have to. Square is best for being able to rotate soft snow tires, as long as you stay reasonably thin.
