Roommate ran off...

So I've been rooming with a guy who I went to military school with. That's a pretty close bond right there. Well I know that he isn't rich or anything, but he has always paid rent on time and if he had trouble his parents would gladly help pay. So today I go to the mall with the girlfriend for a good 6 hours or so... When I get back his shit is gone, just trash and a bunch of bullshit that he couldn't fit in his car I assume. He even took my fucking dining table set. Thank god everything valuable is still here... So I can't really do shit about it, because his ass is a ghost, I assume that he left for Hawaii, where he was living before January. The semester just ended and I assume that he had shitty grades and got his scholarship taken away...

It just sucks that he didn't warn me! I was a great roommate! Also the place is in my name; he was subletting, but my rent is expensive and right now is the worst time this could happen, because due to surgery I am unemployed!

I just had to vent. It's incredible how shitty people are. I've known him for 8 years and I was his role model... That mother fucker.

What's even worse if I can't find a roommate quick, my girlfriend might move in... She is desperately looking for a place to live, but has been striking out, and is running out of time herself to find a place to live.

sucks about old roommate dude, since he left just like that, make sure you change the locks and stuff. did you do a sublet lease with him? if so you could probably take him to small claims court.

about the gf i'd advise against it. First off you don't know how long it'll last, and some women go crazy when you break up, so her having the keys is not a good idea. Also because of the relationship you'll probably get chores "issues" and rent issues. Best to keep looking,

Rooming with the girlfriend is my last last resort! Lol that would suck. I can't really persue him, because its just not worth it. He only owes me about $300, but is paid up in rent.

Don't let the bitch move in. Theres no such thing as not being able to find a place to live. There are tons of people always renting no matter where you are. Either everbody thinks shes a bitch, or shes a broke ass bitch. Either way, you have shitty taste in woman, and shes going to jam a flat head screw driver up your urethra eventually.

Call your buddies parents. Ask for the $$. If not, change the locks, and be prepared to beat his ass when he runs out of cash and thinks he can just show back up unannounced.
