Mobility kit

What exactly is included in your car for fixing a flat tire? I only have a BMW mobility can that has a hose on it. No pump, gloves or anything else. Is that right?

I only have the black can with the sealant. So there should also be a compressor and gauge? Anything else?

It's described in the user manual which parts you need and where they are located.

You should have a black box-like thing the size of the owner's manual case and a bottle of sealant in a plastic bag. Both of these should be under the trunk floor, forward in a cut out made just for them. The box-like thing opens and has a hose, gauge, and gloves as I recall.

Is there any reason to use the mobility kit rather than a can of fix-a-flat? Just seems like a pain in the butt from what I remember of reading the manual when I got the car a year ago.

If I get a flat, I'll call a flatbed rather than deal with the problems of that can of goo.
