M3: Yes. That aspect of the CSL is a bit ricey.

Ferrari: It is difficult to call anything Ferrari "rice" but nonetheless things done 100% for looks that add nothing to performance are in this vein.

As an (ex) engineer I have a deep appreciation for the purposefulness, design flexibility and performance of composites, esp. carbon fiber composites. It always makes me grimace to see silly parts like CF door panels, Ferrari or not.

Do you really have a Ferrari and a CSL??

E92 Dry Carbon Honeycomb Composite Door Interior Panel Set

1.25kg / 2.76lbs each (normal 3.1kg / 6.83 lbs each)

Total savings per SET of door panels: 8.14lbs

Even more can be saved if someone chooses to not install the extra grab handles, speakers, leather trims etc. I assume that would be for someone more race orientated though. Like the 360 CS, they may not be the most spectacular use of carbon from an engineering standpoint, but a good weight to shed some weight quickly and looks decent doing it

Garage List
2008 BMW M3  [0.00]
If you still have that CSL you might want to show it to Mike S just to make him look for one again
